Our meetings are held on the third Thursday of the month and our venue is open at 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start. They are open to everyone so you don't have to be a member to come along - just turn up! Meetings are free for all Buns & Roses members and there is a small charge of £4 for non-members.
These sessions vary from inspiring guest speakers to crafty get-togethers with the odd cake and cocktail thrown in for good measure! You can bring along your craft projects, get advice or learn a new skill and just have lots of fun.
19 January - Say You Want A Resolution! - January is the time of year that we participate in the democratic process of choosing which WI resolution we would like to go forward to the Federation with some lively debate! We will also be making name badges and using old Christmas cards for crafting. This will also be a general meeting with ample opportunity for crafting and making those New Year's craft resolutions come true!
16 February - Any Dream Will Do - A general meeting where you will get the opportunity to make a dreamcatcher.
16 March - You've Got A Friend In Me - We will be joined by a new research assistant looking into Carers and Dementia Friends. We will also be making and embellishing twiddle muffs.
20 April - What Have You Done For Me Eightly - Annual meeting and 8th birthday party. Join Buns & Roses as we celebrate our birthday with cake and entertainment galore.
18 May - With A Little Help From My Friends - We will be joined by a speaker from a local homeless charity and having a collection of food, toiletries and other essentials, for them to take away with them.
15 June - Rock And Roll (Alice) Band - This is a general meeting where we will be making/upcycling hair accessories. There may even be a bit of bling!
20 July - Eat It - We will be joined by a member of The Real Junk Food Project to tell us all about their work.
17 August - Glitter & Gold - A general meeting with the opportunity to bling up a wine glass.
21 September - Ice Ice Lady - We will be joined by an inspirational speaker.
19 October - Cheese Come Out Tonight - Cheese tasting and our annual bring a friend meeting - no more needed to be said!
16 November - I Wool Always Love Ewe - We will be joined by the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust who will talk us through wool production.

07 December - Yule Always Find Me In the Cosmo At Parties - Finish off 2017 in style with a Buns & Roses Christmas party!

Spaces are limited so places must be booked in advance. Buns & Roses members are given priority booking about a month in advance, which is just one of the perks of joining! Our workshops vary in cost and are always a few pounds cheaper for Buns & Roses members, another membership perk!

02 February - Hooked On You - An opportunity to brush up on your crochet skills or if you're a beginner, to start your first crochet project.02 March - Think - A mindfulness workshop where you can learn all about mindfulness and give it a go yourself.
06 April - Wouldn't It Be(ad) Nice - Our talented member Claire will guide you through the process of making jewellery with beads. You will leave with some bespoke jewellery which you have crafted yourself.

11 May - Boom! Shake The Room - Join us for an evening of Belly Dancing! We will be joined by a member of lovedaybellydance who will tell us all about belly dancing and then you can have a go yourself!
01 June - Big Curl (You Are Beautiful) - Vintage hairstyle workshop. We'll be joined by an expert stylist who will teach you how to style your hair into a beautiful vintage do.
06 July - Hey Good Looking - Back by popular demand, our very own inspiring Georgina will show us how to make some amazingly easy cosmetics.
03 August - Get (Th)ready For This - We will be joined by the fabulous Hayley Mills-Styles who will be introducing us to the art of hand embroidery.
07 September - Red, Red Wine - Ever wondered how wine is made? Claire Hanley-Opik will explain all in this winemaking workshop you will see the process of bottling some wine and may even get to try some!
05 October - Autumn Leaves - Back by popular demand we'll be joined by A Dog Called Dill who will be leading us through some awesome Autumn crafting.
02 November - I'd Like To Teach The World To Ring - Get into the festive spirit with some hand bell ringing.
